Basic Functions: Provides front line duties and support in a physician practice/outpatient setting. Registers patients for office visits, collects payment for services rendered and completes all insurance billing and/or follow up on patient account. Serve as office liaison when required. This position involves direct patient association. Check in/check out. Schedule office appointments. Verify insurance. Answer phones. Enters patient data into computer. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent General knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality Minimum of two years experience in administrative or office administration work Insurance, ICD-9 and CPT coding knowledge Preferred Qualifications: Medical Terminology 2+ years experience in a medical setting, insurance environment, or related field

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
