Marketing Analyst
Job Description:
Looking for a Marketing Analyst responsible for managing the Marketing budget. Ideal candidate has at least 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst which included analyzing the marketing budget.
Primary Functions:
- Track and evaluate promotional events for impacts to volume, revenue, profit, expense and ROI. (Marketing events include mailers, web banners, web promotions, etc.)
- Work with Customer Service and Sales reps to manage discount/price match programs with the goal of profitable revenue growth
- Calculate and communicate price changes based on supplier cost updates and our competitive market
- Update and maintain strategic database of customers and prospects with mailing lists, email addresses and segmentation analysis
- Report sales results to management via Excel based analysis
- Complete other special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed
Essential Functions:
- Interpret and communicate the impact of sales results on firm performance as compared to the annual strategic plan
- Ability to understand, access and work with large quantities of data while maintaining accuracy
- Perform detailed, complex analysis of sales results by customer, item, location, etc., identifying trends, variances, and correlations to aid in marketing strategy
- Provide consistent, clear and timely reports to internal clients
- Participate in projects that require cooperation with various areas of the business including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and IT/Systems
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Management, Marketing or equivalent
- Demonstrated analytical experience
- One to three years of experience in a corporate environment OR recent graduate with relevant internship experience
Software
Experience:
- Excel - Intermediate to Advanced user capabilities
- JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle or equivalent Enterprise Systems
- SQL and/or Tableau experience is a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
