This position is located in Columbia, SC Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Bagging Operator will operate and control plant processes.
The Bagging Operator will help maintain a clean and orderly work environment and report all deviations from plant rules to the Operations Supervisor.
The Bagging Operator will ensure compliance of all health and safety policies, laws and best practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operational Operate and control bagging processes in accordance with best practices.
Advise/assist employees with operational challenges.
Facilitate maintenance of a clean and orderly work environment.
Record Keeping Maintain recordkeeping for all regulatory and company systems.
Safety, Health and Environment Maintain safe work practices and help other employees maintain and improve the overall health, safety and environmental conditions of the facility.
Continuous Improvement Participate in activities to continuously improve processes and practices.
Advise management on best practices to improve safety, operational efficiency and cost.
Equipment Maintenance Performs operating adjustments and repairs as required to maintain equipment operation.
Assists maintenance employees as needed.
Fill in for other employees on leave/vacation as needed and additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma Experience Required At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills (Wonderware, Vibration Analysis, Excel experience a plus) Work extended hours, weekends or nights as assigned.
