Systems Engineer at Iron Mountain in West Columbia, SC
Primary purpose of the Role The Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site support at our SLMO imaging center as well as supporting our cloud based imaging and file transfer central environment. This role requires an experienced IT professional with a proven record of accomplishment to support this fast-paced and high volume environment. Reporting to the Project Coordinator for Global DS Service Operations, this individual will be the on-site lead for the Service Operations team. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and support including scanning, imaging and managing file transfer. Key Accountabilities The range of activities and tasks to be undertaken by the System Engineer, Global DS Service Operations (NA) include:
Daily maintenance activities to ensure all IT operations run smoothly. Daily support for the local imaging center and for the cloud based central environment. Responsible for proper daily escalation of issues and off-hour on-call support. Work to improve existing standard processes and develop comprehensive controls to monitor productivity, quality, and SLA adherence based on industry proven best practices. Responsible for successful on-boarding of new DS customers and change requests for existing DS customers Ensure constant systems/solution availability to meet project SLA's Key Relationships Focus (External and Internal Contacts) (Nature of interaction) Service Operations Leadership Team DS Global Business Teams IT ServiceDesk and Desktop Support IT App Support & Infrastructure Groups Driving / delivering on support commitments Improving Service Operations Knowledge/Skills/Experience Results orientated Deep understanding of the various IT functions Relationship Management to navigate both the business and IT Program/Project management experience Effective written/verbal communication skills Broad technical competence Operational execution excellence Strong organizational skills Ability to plan strategically Willingness to work with numerous deadlines on a wide variety of initiatives in an environment where priorities may change quickly (What qualifications or experience is needed to do the job, how long would it take for a new person to learn how to do it effectively?)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university or 10 to 15 years of IT industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience and 5 years developing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically has 5-10 years of IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments. At least 3 years of experience with managing team(s) responsible in strategic planning, business development or client management and working with a broad range of diverse and complicated business units. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply and will be subject to a customer background clearance investigation ITIL v3 foundation and practitioner certification Mobility Requirements:
Limited travel up to 15%
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
